Castaway

Walt: Write from the 1st person.

Waking up on the sand in pooped raft in a island in the middle of nowhere. I is this a dream I say to myself This is not a dream this is real I was devastated I wanted to go back home but I couldn't so I started to look around to see if there was anybody around. I started to call out help but there was no one around, I am lonely.   


I need shelter so I started to look around to see if there was something to use. I found stick big stick so I pick them up and started to find a building stop then I found a spot with lots of trees.
So I found some palm trees and started to pick the fronds for the top bit of my shelter


Suddenly I  got a bit hungry and wanted to eat. Then I went to find a coconut tree but I found fresh water that I can't drink it was cold which isn't good. I tried to find fish but there was none in the sea. Then I Tried to find some animals the walk on land but there wasn’t at all But I found some berries that ants ate so I  threw them away into the sea. Then I found a whole bunch of  coconut tree appeared which is good because I can drink two types of water and I can use the coconut for a cup. So all I had was freshwater and lot and lots of coconut trees.


I need to get out of this island right now because I want to go home but I kind of want to stay here because i've just put in so much work. So I wrote down on the sand HELP. Then I got a found and went to find sone ink then just saw a bird it landed on the ground so I threw and rock at the bird and it couldn’t fly. I took the ink and put it on the HELP.

It's been 6 year I have forgot how a helicopter work I and already have a family which were coconut. Then a strange big boat it was the navy they forced me to go on that big weird boat. At last I got back home it looked so strange there were these weird thing called lights all you need to do is just switch it up and down. I need to do a lot of catching up.

Immersion Assembly

Our school topic is Now That's Thinking. All of us found that at assembly and  how chrome books
Are changed from the first one and now. Everybody got to know what the others team are do in the school.


As I said our school topic was Now that thinking. Team one two and three are looking forward to make amazing kites. Team 5 is doing something about fixing and how to make that school so much better.


Our team is looking forward to how Maori people use their technology and how people use technology now.  
The movie was how the teacher went back through time and research to find a band new topic.  It was kind of like traveling through time.


I am hoping that we are learning how the Maori people build their houses and and beds. What I really really want to learn about is how the Maori people cook their food. I am so excited.

I think the the new term topic overall is a great year. Because everybody are do something different.

Problem Solving week 2

Camp

Have you ever been on the year 5&6 camp. Well in 2017 in term 1 all the year 5&6 student went on camp. It Was Fun!

The year 5&6 camp is a camp where everybody has fun and do activities. It is in Pt England school on the field. The activities are get lost which is like the amazing race, youth town kayaking, swimming and killer zone 9(which is not violent )there is so many I can’t list them all.
The amazing thing is that we got our own tent and get to tent with someone.

My highlight of the camp was the swimming in the pool. You might think why well at the last the of camp we all go to the mangere pools. There are bombing pool side and a regular one.

The swimming pool were my favourite because it was my last last so I had to get much as fun as I can. To bad that we didn’t get to use the showers.   

I want to thank the parents the spent a lot of money just for camp and the teachers for helping too. Thank you mum for letting me go to camp even though you pay $70. Thank you Mr Brut for set this camp for the year 5&6 it was awesome.

In camp I learned that it was my last year in camp. The real thing that I learn in camp was kayaking. If you are a year 4 when you tune in to a year 5 you should try it.

Camp

On camp I am looking forward to the new swimming pool that we are go to in camp.
I am also looking forward in what tent I am in because last time I was with someone who wasn’t my friend. The thing that I am really looking forward to is the pools.


I am hoping that there might be new game to play. What I am also hoping for is that I can sleep with my friend because last time I sleep with someone who wasn’t my friend. Another thing that I am hoping for is that We get to go kayaking because we didn’t get to go and we had to go on a another day.  

I am nervous about the rain because last we had to sleep in the library. I am also nervous about the tents last time my tent broke down little bit and there was water all over the floor. I am nervous if camp was canceled.

Paper Tower


Walt: write a recount about our experience.


Have you ever build a TOWER!! Out of newspaper? Well our class our class did. We had to build a tower out of newspaper it was hard. VERY HARD!!!


Our teacher was telling us the instruction. When everybody was listened but wasn't pay attention, the only thing I listened to was the video. Mr Goodwin say that the tower was not to lean on anything, after everybody got into groups I was with Lepa, Deavay, Justice, and Hopa. It’s TIME TO BUILD!!! + plan.


It was time to plan Mr goodwin gave us a paper and a pencil Deavay was the pencil guy. When we were plan we had two plan plan A and plan B. Plan A was rolling up the paper and putting it together but when it len we will put some more new paper on the side . Plan B was stacking them together.


So it was time to build Mr Goodwin gave us some tape, we started off with plan A. We were going to tape the tower because Mr Goodwin say nothing about taping it no the ground. The tower cape falling and falling then after time was up nobody's tower stood up so Mr Goodwin gave us two more minutes then after justice just putting one more tape and it STANDED!!!


So I learn that build a tower is not just about height it about it make sure the tower stands But at last our team won. Our prize was GLORY!!!!  Next time I will like to do this again.
